Designed with you in mind, built for your space
From a young age, I was immersed in the world of cabinetry through my father's business, Tegeler Design Center. One of my earliest memories is sitting in a dovetailed drawer to demonstrate its strength. As I grew older, my responsibilities expanded from helping out in the warehouse to delivering and installing cabinets. This foundation led me to building log and timber frame homes, where I gained more experience building homes from start to finish.
In 2007, I won the $595,000 - $650,000 Category at the Parade of Homes with a fully remodeled 1867 barn into a beautiful barn estate. My journey continued working closely with my dad, remodeling and building homes, then helping build flood homes and remodeling the Chrome Horse Saloon after the 2008 flood. Following my dad's passing, I joined my sister at Wood Harbor Design Showroom, where I spent over a decade primarily managing the warehouse. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of learning from many skilled professionals, each contributing to my extensive experience.
While my background is deeply rooted in cabinetry, much of my work has been with manufactured cabinets. Founding TKC allowed me to break free from some of the constraints of mass production. At TKC, I focus on designing and crafting custom cabinets tailored specifically to each customer's needs, ensuring that every piece is unique and perfectly suited for its intended space.
